The Shining axe up for auction
The axe Jack Nicholson used in the movie "The Shining" is up for auction in the 32nd Hollywood Auction organized by "Profiles in History".
The axe was used by Jack in the climactic scene where Jack (as Jack Torrance) breaks down the bathroom door to try and kill his wife. This particular axe was a stunt axe with a fiberglass axe head to make it safe for swinging and throwing around and ensure Jack did not hurt himself.
The price range for the axe is $5,000 to $7,000.
Besides Jack's axe from The Shining there are many other objects from Hollywood movies available.
You can visit the website here.
The lot number for the axe is 910.
