    Jack Nicholson troubled with saliva gland problems Jack Nicholson has been drinking a lot of water nowadays because his saliva gland has stopped working. A friend of his has revealed that the actor has become dependent on water to swallow anything.

    "Jack's saliva glands stopped working, so he has to continually drink water to swallow anything," the New York Post quoted the source as saying.

    Last year Jack was hospitalized briefly for a gland infection.

    Jack or any of his representatives were unavailable for comment.
