I have just returned from travelling around the USA for three weeks. Hence, I am a bit delayed in responding to the Hemingway reading in San Francisco which I was so fortunate to attend. Being in the presence of all these talented people (especially Jack) on stage at one time was completely awesome! The evening began with a video which was nicely narrated by Jack (love that man's voice) describing the details of the Painted Turtle. Then, with Jack leading, the all-star cast pranced on stage and the reading began with Jack as Hemingway. Oh, my God!!! If there was an earthquake during this two hour performance, I am very certain I would never have known it! It was very, very touching at the end of this spectacular performance when children from the Painted Turtle appeared on stage. By this time, the audience did not hold back tears. These very sick kids certainly put every thing in the right perspective.
Rita, if you're able to get an autograph, ask one for me as well
I live too far away (Europe) to have that chance...
Also if you're able to make pictures, you can send them to me. I'll add them in a new photo album on the website here then.
I have a ticket for the Hemingway reading in San Francisco and I can hardly wait !! It will be the first time I see Jack Nicholson in person!!
