smile smile smile smile wonderful thought provoking movie, that underlines the strenght of Jack Nicholson as a high class character actor

I thopught this was an excellent superb film and that Nicholson was superb in the role of Schmidt - supporeted by first-rate performances by the other actors.
It was funny, sad and true to life....It was not at all like the usual american film as it was understated and subtly acted. Sentimentality was avoided - yet it did hve heart.
Well done all round

I find this one pretty interesting , because it was a very different performance from jack , and definitly a good one , Jack here plays a great roll
