He's known for sporting his famous, ever-present red-tinted sunglasses at nearly every occasion. And now Jack Nicholson has passed the torch down to his daughter Lorraine, who is not only adding films on to her own resume, but has also inherited her father's famous eyewear.

The father-daughter duo were spotted shopping together at Barney's New York in Beverly Hills on Saturday, both sporting the same thoughtfully intense facial expressions and sunglasses. The family resemblance was certainly uncanny, as the pair stood beside one another on the sunny Saturday with hands on their waistlines and matching sunglasses.

Nicholson, 76, was spotted wearing a pair of loose-fitting denim jeans, and a plaid sport coat. He maintained an unkempt and comfortable appearance in a white button-up blouse that attempted to conceal his midsection. The Easy Rider actor teamed the outfit with black trainers and his famous pair of tinted sunglasses.

His daughter, on the other hand, sported a youthful look all while showing off her svelte curves. The 23-year-old revealed her trim figure in a black leotard which was tucked into a pair of vintage-style denim jeans. With her jeans rolled up, the younger Nicholson kept her stride in a hip of bold animal-print trainers with a slight heel. The Soul Surfer actress wore her brunette mane pulled back in a loose and low-maintenance ponytail, and like her father, kept her gaze protected behind a pair of circular sunglasses with a reflective tint. The brunette beauty opted for minimal make-up, save for a slick of hot red lipstick that complemented her fair skin complexion.

Nicholson flashed his famous wicked smile as his daughter clung to a ten dollar bill in her right hand.

Jack Nicholson celebrates Elizabeth Taylor's birthday

Jack Nicholson celebrates Elizabeth Taylor's birthday

Jack Nicholson was among the celebrities in attendance at the glamorous gathering in Beverly Hills to mark the late Elizabeth Taylor's 82nd birthday. Jack Nicholson celebrated what would have been Elizabeth Taylor's 82nd birthday on February 26th, 2014.

The 76-year-old actor was among the celebrities at the glamorous gathering held at the Cassandra's Violet Grey store in Melrose Place in Beverly Hills, which was hosted by Paramount boss Brad Grey's wife Cassandra, to celebrate the legendary actress.

Hollywood icon Jack - renowned for his prowess with the ladies - was in his element at the bash as he was nestled between model Erin Wasson and the granddaughter of artist Picasso, Diana Widmaier-Picasso, while locking eyes with Eva Mendes across the table. According to the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column, Jack appeared to be enjoying himself at the intimate bash as he exchanged life stories with guests, before bursting out in laughter.

Pharrell Williams, Chanel Iman, Anjelica Huston, Carole Radziwill and Alice Eve also paid their respects by attending the birthday bash for the screen star, who died of congestive heart failure in 2011, aged 79, after suffering many years of ill health. Meanwhile, other stars took to their Twitter accounts to mark the special day. Kim Kardashian wrote: ''Happy Birthday to the legendary Elizabeth Taylor! Forever grateful for your last interview we did together! I will never forget it! #MyInspiration #MyIdol (sic)''.

Jack Nicholson poses for a fun selfie from courtside seat as he watches his beloved LA Lakers slide to defeat

Jack Nicholson poses for a fun selfie from courtside seat as he watches his beloved LA Lakers slide to defeat

These days, with his screen presence gradually diminishing and reports of semi-retirement echoing through Hollywood, Jack Nicholson’s courtside seat at the Staples Centre is rarely cold.

Settling down to watch his beloved LA Lakers take on Indiana Pacers, Tuesday proved to be no exception for the legendary actor – and he was in high spirits despite watching his team slide to a 104-92 loss.

Jack, 76, had good company in the form of fellow actor Bruce Dern – his former co-star in 1972 film The King Of Marvin Gardens – and the pair laughed and joked throughout the closely fought Pacific Division contest.

At one point the star delighted another courtside spectator by adopting a pout for a fun selfie while Bruce looked on from the seat to his right.

As always a host of stars attended the cavernous LA venue for the game, amongst them record producer and filmmaker Lou Adler, who occupied a seat next to Bruce. Former professional wrestler ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin was also in attendance, and the powerhouse was spotted as he rose to his feet and cheered on the home team.

Jack, whose last movie role came in 2010 rom-com How Do You Know, was rumoured to have unofficially retired from the acting business last year after suffering from ‘memory loss.’
A source told RadarOnline: ‘Quite frankly, at 76, Jack has memory issues and can no longer remember the lines being asked of him. His memory isn’t what it used to be.'

Jack was said to have turned down the role of an aging alcoholic father in 2013 hit Nebraska, with the lead eventually going to Bruce – whose performance has earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role.

But while Jack appears to be keeping a low profile, the Hollywood insider claims he isn’t leaving his beloved profession behind entirely. 'Jack has no intention of retiring from the limelight,' says the source. 'He’s not retiring from public life, at all. He just doesn’t want a tribute. He’s happy to tacitly join the retirees club like Sean Connery.'

Jack Nicholson Talks Non-Retirement, Loss Love & Getting Older

Jack Nicholson Talks Non-Retirement, Loss Love & Getting Older

Talking with Britain's The Sun, Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson laughs off reports of his "retirement" from making movies, and offers an interesting take on his life, love and career.

Jack, whose 2010 film How Do You Know served as his most recent project, was said to have stepped out of the spotlight because he can no longer memorize scripts. However, the 12-time Oscar nominee insists that the speculation is "completely false" and maintains an opposite reason why he isn't on the big screen—a lack of desire to act.

"I have a mathematician's brain," he confesses to The Sun. "I'm not going to work until the day I die, that's not why I started this. I mean, I'm not driven. I was driven — but I'm not, I don't have to be out there any more. In fact, there's part of me that never really liked being out there... You get older, you change."

The 76-year-old actor, who began his career in the 1950s, also fears audiences no longer enjoy the type of pictures he wants to continue to make. "The movie business is the greatest business but I only want to do films that move people, films about emotions and people." His last few films, the aforementioned How Do You Know and 2007's The Bucket List, found Jack playing characters who were unlike the roles he made his bones upon (see: One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest). "I had the most chilling thought that maybe people in their twenties and thirties don't actually want to be moved anymore. They may want just to see more bombs, more explosions, because that is what they have grown up with. And I'll never do that type of movie."

Another hunk of conversational mettle was Jack's regret in the love department and getting old. Known around the industry as "Jack the Jumper," Nicholson admitted he wished that he would have had a relationship that lasted the test of time. His relationship with fellow actor, Anjelica Huston, was on and off for about 16 years and he shows how much their final break-up in 1989 affected him in his chat with The Sun.

"That annihilated me. I'm kind of childish emotionally and I did make a mistake in the way I handled it," he said. "I would love that one last romance, a real romance, but I'm not very realistic about it happening. What I can't deny is my yearning."

As for reaching the twilight of his years, the frequent Los Angeles Laker court-side resident commented that he's noticed many changes as he's succumbed to the aging process. "Now I don't have any hair below my sock line, and that means you're getting old, Jackie boy," he said. "It comes out of my ears instead. I mean, how many times have I slashed my earlobes?"

Nicholson's new beauty routine aside, we hope the venerable acting great can give audiences a few more movements with his performance before his own curtain call.
